In 1987 I bought my first Malinois.
I was just looking for a pet with a sporting nature that
would like to listen very good.
I found him in a little place called Woerden.
The breeder was willing to tell me all the
details of the Malinois an allowed me to come
to see the puppies every week.
I watched them grow and finally took a little
fellow from seven weeks old with me.
“Arthos from the Peasant Place”
had to became a nice good listening dog.
But what once started on a pup school,
followed by agility and other
good behaviour classes ended as my biggest hobby:
working and breeding with the Malinois.
A second dog came fast:
Halusetha’s Birca, nickname Cuja,
with a little smile to Stephen King’s “Cujo”.
I trained I.P.O. at club “Kringgroep Midden –Nederland
and together we stood on the platform,
numbers one, two and three!
Hans van Rossum with his “Ika”, Fred Tichelaar with “Robby”
and me with “Cuja”, three great Malinois from one
IPO club won the Dutch Championship all breeds.
With Cuja and Robby the first litter was born
and the beginning of “Kennel Cuja’s”.
Mixing two Malinois with characters with so much will to please;
the mentioning of our breeding was clear: a pedigree Malinois
that was breaded for the original purpose: a working dog for several jobs.
